Nepal

Nepal became my favourite trip I’ve taken so far. I’ve always felt at home in the mountains — living in a valley, drawn to elevation and space but I had never seen landscapes on this kind of scale.

I travelled with my best friend Jasper, his brother, and his father. We hired motorcycles and rode as much of the east and west loops as we could, pushing north until the road ended at Upper Mustang. Each day unfolded into something larger than the last - vast valleys, ancient villages, dust, colour, and light constantly shifting around us.

Nepal offered an extraordinary place to photograph. The scale, colours, and forms of the landscape allowed for images that feel epic, dynamic, and ancient. This work reflects a deep sense of movement through an ancient place and some of the photographs I’m most proud of to date.
